High pressure water jetting pumps provide high pressure streams of water

High pressure water jetting pumps provide high pressure streams of water that can clean or cut a wide variety of materials. They have a wide range of flow rates and pressures, and are available in a portable or ski-mounted configuration. These pumps have a number of features, including open industrial power units, integral fuel tanks, lifting bails, and controls. Some models also include a hand or compressor-driven priming system.

A high pressure water jet pump will produce a wide range of spray patterns, depending on the type of nozzle used. Generally, there are two types of nozzles: flat jet nozzles and point jet nozzles. Point jet nozzles produce a remarkably focused spray pattern. Rotating nozzles generate several precise jets, creating a spiraling pattern.

High pressure water jet pumps use a combination of a hydraulic pump and an oil pump to generate water pressure. Pumps are rated by horsepower, with the typical pump size being 30 HP, 50 HP, 75 HP, or 150 HP. Each size has an associated pressure and gallons-per-minute (GPM) rating. In addition to being used for industrial applications, these pumps are also used for floor preparation, concrete renovation, and deburring.

To control water pressure, a high-pressure water jet pump needs to be equipped with a Safety Relief valve. This valve closes automatically when the tool is commanded by the control panel. However, not all new pumps feature this valve, so you should ask the manufacturer about it before buying a high-pressure water jet pump. In addition, some manufacturers only activate the Safety Valve when the pump is stopped using the E-Stop button.
