What is Triplex Plunger Pump?

A triplex plunger pump is the ideal choice for high-end and professional pressure washers. These types of pumps feature smoother, more consistent flow over the crankshaft, and ceramic-coated pistons. This results in a longer, more reliable life for your machine.

Triplex plunger pumps are designed with dual oversized radial ball bearings, which minimize friction. They also include a fully anodized die cast aluminum crankcase to protect against corrosion.

The Triplex Pump is a high-quality, easy-to-install replacement for horizontal engine pressure washers. It features a stainless steel integrated unloader, minimizing engine load and maximizing the output of your system.

Axial cam pumps are another mid-level option. Their PSI is below 3500, and they are also repairable. However, they are less powerful, and the suction lift capability is reduced.

Wobble pumps are the entry level option. They are 70 percent efficient, but the life of a wobble pump is much shorter.

Axial and triplex plunger pumps are more versatile, with the ability to run for thousands of hours without maintenance. They can run cooler than engines, which means they're more environmentally sustainable. Unlike engines, triplex pumps use a crankshaft to drive pistons, which draw in water and suck it in each stroke. Ultimately, this results in more water flow and higher PSI configurations.

Plunger pumps are the most common type of pressure washer pump. They work by pulling in water through an intake valve, then pushing it out through an outflow valve. While they are less powerful than other types, they are easier to replace.
